Privacy Notice

Your data, used only for your reading

This notice explains, in plain words, what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. Who we are

99AstroGuru is a business of Rajib Bhattacharjee (proprietor), 103, Gol Park, Gariahat, Kolkata 700019, West Bengal, India. We are the “Data Fiduciary” for the personal data you share with us. Contact: 99astroguru@gmail.com · +91 82740 50963.

2. What we collect, and why

DataWhy we need it
Name, gender, date of birth, time of birth, place and country of birth, chart styleTo calculate your chart and prepare your reading. Gender is used only where classical rules read a significator differently for men and women.
Partner’s birth details (Marriage reading, optional)For Kundli matching — only with your partner’s (or their family’s) agreement.
Email; WhatsApp number (optional; needed for a call)To confirm your order, send the payment link and your reading, and book a call.
Your note or question (optional)So your reading keeps it in mind.
For anyone under 18: the parent or guardian’s name, relationship and contactTo record verifiable parental consent (see section 4).
Consent record: the consent wording, the boxes ticked and the dateTo show when and how consent was given.

We collect only what your reading needs. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

Our AI helper (the ✦ button): it answers questions about our readings. What you type is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) only to write the reply. We do not save chats, and the helper never asks for your birth details; please do not type personal details there. WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp, we use your number and message only to reply to you.

3. Your consent

We use your personal data only with your consent, given by ticking the consent box on our form (it is never pre-ticked). You can withdraw consent at any time — it is as easy as giving it: write to us and we will stop using your data and delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.

4. Children (under 18)

No one under 18 can order a reading without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. When a date of birth shows the person is under 18, our form asks for the parent or guardian’s name, relationship and contact, and their own consent — and the order cannot be sent without it. The parent or guardian confirms they are 18 or older.

We use a child’s details only to prepare the reading. We never track children, monitor their behaviour or show them targeted advertising.

5. How long we keep it

Our order form asks you to choose. Either we delete your birth details and your reading 30 days after we deliver your reading, or, if you ask us to, we keep your birth details for up to 2 years so you can order again without typing them again. Either way, you can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. Consent records and payment records are kept only as long as the law requires.

6. Who helps us (processors)

We share your data only with services that help us run 99AstroGuru, under our instructions: our website host and security provider (Cloudflare), our customer-records system (operated by our technology provider, clickks), email delivery, our AI provider for the website helper (Anthropic), WhatsApp (if you choose WhatsApp), and your bank or UPI app for payment. We never sell your data. Some of these services may store data outside India, as the DPDP Act allows.
